The Blockheads introduced Expert Mode in Version 1.7 for players who are looking for a challenge.
Worlds created in Expert Mode have some noticeable differences and quirks and with the help of custom rules, only some of these can be changed.
When a player is playing in Expert Mode, harvesting resources such as clay, flint, ores, plants, & trees, only give 2x instead of 3x with the correct tool. Crafting will often require more resources which is compensated for higher quantities of said resources mentioned above. Golden chests are less common as they only spawn in caves and like custom...
•In addition to the change in crafting recipes, expert mode also makes the workbench have an upgrade after each item, often requiring precious gems.
•There are less resources given by trees and ores, compensated by more ores and trees. 5 ores are needed to craft their respective ingots.
