Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls is a non-denominational girls school and sixth form centre in the London Borough of Havering, England. The school educates girls between the ages of 11 and 18 (school years 7 to 13).
Frances Bardsley beat fifty applicants to become first headmistress of Romford County High School for Girls. There was no building. For four years, Miss Bardsley operated from a house in Romford’s Eastern Road. In 1910, the school acquired premises in Heath Park Road.
Admissions. Havering Council (the Local Authority) is the admissions authority for our school. Their website provides the information you will need about catchment areas, the date by which parents with children due to begin school next year should be registered at a school and other important admissions details.
