Petra Haden, formerly of That Dog and the Rentals, provides an intricate backing vocal track for "Rental Car". Release. Guero was initially intended to be released on October 26, 2004, but was pushed back, due to delays with the artwork, mixing and music videos.
Petra Haden (born October 11, 1971) is an American musician and singer. She is the daughter of the jazz bassist Charlie Haden, and is the triplet sister of bassist Rachel Haden (her bandmate in that dog.) and cellist Tanya Haden (married to singer and actor Jack Black); she has performed with her sisters as The Haden Triplets.

Haden's 2013 album Petra Goes to the Movies, was a typically ambitious effort that reflects her lifelong fascination with film scoring.
