Emmett "Babe" Wallace (June 24, 1909 – December 3, 2006), was an American singer, stage performer, composer, actor, and poet. His decades long career included many years performing abroad in Europe and Israel. He featured on stage and screen.

Starting as a singer in a Harlem nightclub he went on to become a very successful musical performer - including a period fronting Ella Fitzgerald's band - as well as an actor on stage and screen, a poet and novelist and a prolific songwriter.
