Lady Barn House School is an independent primary school in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, England. It moved to its present location from Ladybarn, Manchester, in the 1950s. It was founded in 1873 by W. H. Herford, who was also the first headteacher.
Ever since its foundation in 1873 by the educational pioneer W.H. Herford, Lady Barn House School has maintained his vision that the school should enable each pupil to develop a wide range of skills, grow in confidence and find their own voice in the world.
Lady Barn House School is pleased to accept applications for children to join in various age groups and maintains a partially selective policy for admissions. The school is, therefore, mixed-ability by nature and in keeping with its aims to provide an holistic, well-rounded education.
