Matthews Southern Comfort (MSC) are a British country rock/folk rock band, formed in 1970 by former Fairport Convention singer Ian (later Iain) Matthews.
Iain Matthews ist ein britischer Folk-Sänger und -Gitarrist. 1970 hatte er als Leadsänger der nach ihm benannten Band Matthews Southern Comfort mit Woodstock einen Nummer-eins-Hit in Großbritannien. Ab 1971 veröffentlichte er seine Werke als Ian Matthews, ab 1990 als Iain Matthews.
