The Legend & The Legacy was Pete Kleinow’s third solo album, released in 1994, that contains covers. Peter E. “Sneaky Pete” Kleinow (August 20, 1934 – January 6, 2007) was an American country-rock musician, songwriter, and a motion picture special effects artist.
Gene Victor Parsons (born September 4, 1944, in Morongo Valley, California) is an American drummer, banjo player, guitarist, singer-songwriter, and engineer, best known for his work with the Byrds from 1968 to 1972.
Gene Parsons ist ein US-amerikanischer Country-Musiker, Singer-Songwriter und Multiinstrumentalist. Parsons war Mitglied mehrerer einflussreicher Country-Rock-Bands wie der Byrds, Nashville West und der Flying Burrito Brothers.
Das Multitalent bekam schließlich auch Gelegenheit, zwei eigene Alben einzuspielen, bei denen er von ehemaligen Weggefährten, wie den Ex-Byrds Gene Parsons und Skip Battin, begleitet wurde. Im Laufe des Jahres 2006 gab seine Familie bekannt, dass Kleinow an der Alzheimer-Krankheit litt.
