On July 15, 2020, Clementine Creevy of Cherry Glazerr posted a statement on Instagram in which she accused Sean Redman of statutory rape and sexual misconduct: " I was 14 and he was 20...He also insisted on not using protection and gave me HPV. That was the first time I had sex."
The Buttertones are a rock band formed in Los Angeles. Bassist Sean Redman met lead vocalist Richard Araiza and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Modeste “Cobi” Cobián at music school in 2011.
In 2015, Cherry Glazerr saw the addition of two new musicians: multi-instrumentalist Sasami Ashworth on synths, who was invited to join the band by Sean Redman, and drummer Tabor Allen, who was subsequently invited to join the band by Ashworth. [21]
In an Instagram post in July 2020, Creevy accused former Cherry Glazerr bandmate, and bassist of The Buttertones, Sean Redman of statutory rape. [9] [10] In response, Innovative Leisure, the record label for The Buttertones, announced they would be dropping the band immediately.
