Chris Shar (born Christopher Joshua Shar, November 14, 1978) is an American multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Shar was born and raised on the Jersey shore, predominantly in Toms River, New Jersey. Shar learned to play the drumkit at a young age, and played in a high school band.

Chris Sharma findet immer wieder ikonische Kletterrouten, die nicht nur im Schwierigkeitsgrad eine Herausforderung darstellen, sondern auch als Spot selbst echte Anziehungspunkte sind. Die „Pont d’Arc“ markiert als natürliche, 60 Meter lange Steinbrücke den Beginn der Ardèche-Schlucht in Südfrankreich und überragt den Fluss um 54 Meter.
