20. Dez. 2022 · Iain Templeton joined Shack in 1990, having replaced Alan Wills. With the new drummer on board, the band recorded their second album Waterpistol, which despite its commercial failure received flattering reviews. Vox magazine described it as “a bona fide Classic Lost Album”.
The Head brothers, along with Iain Templeton (who drummed on The Magical World of The Strands) and bassist Ren Parry reformed Shack in 1998, releasing HMS Fable (1999), reaching the top 25 on the UK albums chart.
Following the release of singles "Way Out" (1987), "There She Goes" (1988) and "Timeless Melody" (1990) and having aborted several recording sessions with different producers, the band released their debut album, The La's, in 1990 to critical acclaim and modest commercial success.
