Jimmy Giuffre. James Peter Giuffre ( / ˈdʒuːfri /, Italian pronunciation: [dʒufˈfre]; April 26, 1921 [1] – April 24, 2008) [2] was an American jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, composer, and arranger. He is known for developing forms of jazz which allowed for free interplay between the musicians, anticipating forms of free improvisation.
The Swinging Mr. Rogers is an album by American jazz trumpeter, composer and arranger Shorty Rogers, released on the Atlantic label in 1955.

But first there were a series of well-received recordings as a leader, including 1955's “The Swinging Mr. Rogers"—and its stop-start former jukebox favorite “Martians Go Home."
