Herman „Ivory“ Chittison (* 15. Oktober 1908 in Flemingsburg in Kentucky; † 8. März 1967 in Cleveland in Ohio) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz -Pianist des Swing . Chittison brachte sich das Klavierspiel selbst bei und spielte ab 1928 mit der Band von Zack Whyte in Cincinnati.

Chittison moved to New York in the early 1930s and found work as an accompanist to Ethel Waters, Adelaide Hall, and Clarence Williams. [1] He also visited Boston for the first time with a traveling show headlined by comic actor Stepin Fetchit.
