  4. Herman " Junior " Parker (March 27, 1932 – November 18, 1971) [1] [2] was an American blues singer and harmonica player. He is best remembered for his voice which has been described as "honeyed" and "velvet-smooth". [3] One music journalist noted, "For years, Junior Parker deserted down home harmonica blues for uptown blues-soul music". [4]

  6. Junior ParkerWay Back Home. Herman Parker (known ’round the world as Little Junior) was born in Mississippi but moved with his mother to West Memphis, Arkansas sometime in the 1940’s. In West Memphis, Sonny Boy Williamson tutored him on the harmonica and the lessons must have taken as he was playing with Howlin’ Wolf while still in his teens.
