John Symon Asher „Jack“ Bruce (* 14. Mai 1943 in Bishopbriggs, Schottland; † 25. Oktober 2014 in Sudbury, Suffolk) war ein britischer Rock -, Blues - und Jazz musiker. Er spielte hauptsächlich E-Bass, aber auch Cello, Kontrabass, Piano und Mundharmonika, sang und schrieb Songs. Bekannt wurde er als Gründungsmitglied von Cream .
John Symon Asher Bruce (14 May 1943 – 25 October 2014) was a Scottish musician. He gained popularity as the primary lead vocalist and bassist of rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played with several bands.

März 2024 · When Guitarist called up Jack Bruce to talk about Cream’s 1967 classic album Disraeli Gears, he leaves us in little doubt about the unique chemistry that fired an equally unique group. “I think that the whole band was kind of misunderstood by everybody, and it gave us a sort of an edge, you know,” the bass legend muses.

25. Mai 2021 · Begleitet wurde er vom Graham Bond Quartet (mit John McLaughlin, Ginger Baker und Jack Bruce). “I Saw Her Standing There” wurde zu einem kleinen Erfolg. Zu seinen Freunden gehörte Alexis Korner, der ihn in die Blues Incorporated holte.
10. Juli 2019 · Jack Bruce. Live At Rockpalast – 1980, 1983, 1990. Dear Jack was a fine character to talk music with, a session at his house was illuminating and entertaining. His recall was impressive, his perspectives quite striking much of the time.
