Charles Samuel "Chuck" Loeb (December 7, 1955 – July 31, 2017) was an American jazz guitarist and a member of the groups Steps Ahead, Metro and Fourplay.
The same sort of creative, collaborative nurturing effect has given Mark Johnson the confidence to try a new production tack on Deep Focus, the saxman's third disc but first without veteran percussionist/producer George Jinda's guiding hand.
More than just a jazz guitar player, Chuck Loeb is the consummate musician. In a career that spans four decades, he has proven himself to be a versatile composer, arranger and producer in a wide range of musical styles and contexts.
