St Monica's R.C. High School is a coeducational secondary school on Bury Old Road in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, England, opposite Heaton Park. It serves pupils mainly from the areas of Prestwich, Whitefield, Kersal, Cheetham Hill and Radcliffe, and all those in the parish communities of its associated primary schools.
St Monica’s is a Catholic community working in partnership with families, schools and parishes to teach the Catholic faith as a way of life. Jesus Christ is central to our school and our main aim is that everyone can develop their God given talents and gifts to the full, while growing in faith through prayer and service.

I attended Aquinas in its twilight years, 1959 – 1963. Opened in 1905, my class was the last one that saw a full school having classes from freshmen to seniors. There would be no class of 1966 and, as it turned out, the last class graduated in August, 1965. One of the unique aspects of Aquinas was the student body.
