Azymuth. Azymuth is a Brazilian jazz-funk group formed in 1973. The original lineup was a trio composed of José Roberto Bertrami ( keyboards ), Alex Malheiros ( bass, guitars ), and Ivan Conti ( drums, percussion ). [1] Kiko Continentino joined the group in 2015 as the band's keyboardist after Bertrami's death.

Jose Roberto Bertrami. Brazilian Keyboardist José Roberto Bertrami formed the internationally renowned band Azymuth in 1971; the group also featured Alex Malheiros (bass) and Ivan Conte drums, and was sometimes joined in his percussion duties by Aleuda.

Brazilian keyboardist, pianist and organist (born February 21, 1946, in Tatuí, São Paulo; died July 8, 2012, in Rio de Janeiro aged 66). Founder and original keyboardist of the Azymuth group. On his final years, worked extensively with Ithamara Koorax from 1990 to 2011, touring Europe and Asia with her.
