McGuinn, Clark & Hillman were an American rock group consisting of Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, and Chris Hillman, who were all former members of the band the Byrds. The group formed in 1977 and was partly modeled after Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and, to a lesser extent, the Eagles.

Chris Hillman (* 4. Dezember 1944 in Los Angeles) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, der als einer der wichtigsten Wegbereiter des Country-Rock gilt. Der breiten Öffentlichkeit ist er vor allem als Bassist der Band The Byrds bekannt.
After an early 1977 UK tour reunited him with Roger McGuinn and Gene Clark, the trio stayed together as McGuinn, Clark & Hillman for two albums (on which Hillman continued his songwriting collaboration with Knobler) and one under the McGuinn-Hillman name, with a hit single in 1979's "Don't You Write Her Off".
In Time Between, Hillman vividly recounts the groundbreaking years when he joined Roger McGuinn, David Crosby, Gene Clark and Michael Clarke to form The Byrds, creating one of the most influential bands in the history of rock music. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
