Ignatius Jesuit Centre (formerly the St. Stanislaus Novitiate and Ignatius College) is a set of buildings in Guelph, Ontario. It features the Orchard Park Office Centre and the Loyola House Jesuit Retreat and Training Centre. It was founded in 1913 and the current buildings date from 1934.
Stanislaus's novitiate would only last 10 months. In early August 1568 he had a premonition he would soon die. He became sick with a fever. Since he did not seem to be gravely ill, the brother infirmarian discounted his premonition. On Aug. 14 Stanislaus told the infirmarian he would die the next day but the remark was not taken seriously ...
St. Stanislaus Seminary is a former Society of Jesus (Jesuits) seminary that was founded in 1823 on the outskirts of Florissant, Missouri within the current municipal limits of Hazelwood, Missouri. It was the longest continuously operated Jesuit novitiate in the United States.
The land was purchased by Canadian Jesuits in 1913 with the intention of establishing St. Stanislaus Novitiate, a house of formation for Jesuit novices. In 1958, the novitiate was incorporated and renamed Ignatius College.
On August 15, 1898, the property on State Road becomes St. Stanislaus Novitiate, a training center for new Jesuits. Two years later, a four-story Gothic brick building is constructed by the German Jesuit brothers. Part of the property is farmed to support the Jesuits.

The novices of the Jesuit Novitiate of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. In the second year of their novitiate, novices are missioned to an assignment at a Jesuit-run organization, similar to an internship. Called a “long experiment,” this segment of the novitiate lasts several months.
