Edward Carlson (June 4, 1911 – April 3, 1990), was an American hotel and airline executive, and Seattle, Washington civic leader. [3] Carlson was born in Tacoma, Washington. [4] As a youth, he helped his single mother make ends meet by working as a gas station attendant, as well as other odd jobs.
