David Keith „Dave“ McMurray (* 1958 in Detroit) ist ein amerikanischer Jazzmusiker ( Sopran -, Alt- und Tenorsaxophon ), der vor allem als Mitglied von Was (Not Was) und als Sessionmusiker einem größeren Publikum bekannt geworden ist.

On Grateful Deadication, the saxophonist takes his gritty, soulful Detroit sound and reimagines the flower empowered songs of San Francisco icons the Grateful Dead with an album as vibrant as it is unexpected.
McMurray joined the pop rock group Was (Not Was) at its inception, and subsequently contributed to all of their albums. McMurray has had an extensive career as a session musician. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he played on albums for many classic rock and blues acts, ranging from The Rolling Stones to Bob Dylan.
