Dominatrix was a synthpop band from New York City, best remembered for their 1984 club hit, "The Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight". Although the group was short lived, their lone hit single was highly influential in the freestyle genre.
Dominatrix. Originally just Stuart Ar [ga]bright, this synth-pop/electro project is now a duo that includes Dominique Davalos, the actress who appeared in the video for the 1984 hit "The Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight" and is the current vocalist on live performances of the song.
