In April 2006, Thank You, Mark was released by Valley Entertainment, a small label out of New York City. Tours with the Avett Brothers, Indigo Girls and Hootie and the Blowfish followed its release. Howle lives at Awendaw Green, which is also a music venue and recording studio complex.
On Thank You Mark, the South Carolina native moves in an even more eclectic direction. Shifting deftly between chiming folk-pop, back-porch balladry and Stax-influenced soul, Howle exudes a laid-back confidence that underscores her versatility.
3. Feb. 2007 · Her intuitive, often hilarious insights and her ability to connect with her listeners has brought both critical acclaim and a legion of loyal fans. Thank You, Mark, produced by Mark Bryan (Susan Cowsill, Mary Karlzen), manages to capture Howle s essence and vivid personality.
