Bob „The Bear“ Hite (* 26. Februar 1945 [1] in Torrance, Los Angeles, Kalifornien als Robert Ernest Hite; † 6. April 1981 in Venice, Los Angeles, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Sänger und Gründungsmitglied von Canned Heat .
Robert Ernest Hite (February 26, 1943 – April 5, 1981) was the co-lead vocalist of the American blues and rock band Canned Heat, from 1965 to his death in 1981.
Am 5. April 1981 starb ein weiteres Bandmitglied. Bob Hite erlag einem Herzversagen nach Jahren exzessiven Drogenmissbrauchs. Er hatte bis dahin jedes Konzert mit den Worten „And don’t forget to boogie!“ beendet. Seitdem leitete Adolfo de la Parra die Band.
