Janis Tanaka (born January 9, 1963) is an American musician who has worked as a session bassist and on tour with a number of well-known artists including Pink, Fireball Ministry, Hammers of Misfortune, Stone Fox, and L7.

American bassist and actress (born January 9, 1963), active the San Francisco Bay Area from the mid 1980s, later relocated to Southern California. In addition to an extensive discography with punk and metal bands, Tanaka was the touring bassist for P!NK for much of the 2000s.
In 2013 Lorraine Lewis reformed the band with a new line-up consisting of Courtney Cox and Nita Strauss on guitars, Janis Tanaka on bass, Katt Scarlett on keyboards, and both Rachael Rine and Athena on drums.
