Mark Peter McClelland (born 30 March 1976) is a Northern Irish musician known best as the former bass guitarist of the band Snow Patrol. McClelland is a recipient of the Ivor Novello Award for his work on the album Final Straw. He is now the bassist for alternative act Little Doses.

18. Sept. 2012 · Upload is a sci-fi novel by Mark McClelland about a hacker who plans to upload his consciousness into a computer and escape society. The book explores the themes of love, identity, and dystopia in a near-future world.
In Upload, Mark McClelland does what the best science fiction does. He gives the reader an intriguing world in which to consider the big questions, but doesn’t try to answer them directly. Through the main character, Raymond, we explore consciousness and conscience, identity and agency, reality and virtuality.
