Following the release of his debut solo effort Try Whistling This in 1998, singer-songwriter Neil Finn followed up by releasing the less adventurous album One Nil in 2001. The album features guest musicians Sheryl Crow, Lisa Germano and Crowded House's album producer Mitchell Froom.
Mitchell Froom (born June 29, 1953) is an American musician and record producer. He was a member of the bands Gamma and Latin Playboys, and is currently the keyboardist for Crowded House. He has produced albums for several artists, including Richard Thompson, Los Lobos, Suzanne Vega, and Vonda Shepard .
Except ‘Wherever You Are’ produced by Tchad Blake, Mitchell Froom and Neil Finn. Engineered and mixed by Tchad Blake. Additional engineering by Sam Gibson. Assisted by Dave McDougall, Joe Cook, Adam Samuels, Neil Baldock. Recorded at Roundhead Studios, Auckland and Sunset Sound Factory, Los Angeles between June and December 1999.

Neil Mullane Finn OBE (born 27 May 1958) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for being a principal member of Split Enz , of which he shared lead duties with his brother Tim , and the lead singer, guitarist, and a founding member of Crowded House .
