Gary Burger (June 7, 1942 – March 14, 2014) was an American musician, best known as the guitarist and vocalist for the rock band the Monks . Biography. Burger joined the U.S. Army immediately after graduating from Bemidji High School and was stationed in Germany.

Gary W. Burger, 82, of Columbus, passed away August 31, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hopsice of Central Ohio, in Newark. He was born in Jewett, Ohio to the late Albert C. and Dorothy (Cochenour) Burger.
