Steve Marker. Steve was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 16, 1959. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison where he studied with Butch Vig. His friendship with Vig grew and the pair opened Smart Studios in 1983. Before Garbage Steve produced acts including Kill Dozer, Gumballs and The Heart Throbs.
