Blue Note, Prestige, Savoy, Impulse!, Epic, Atlantic. Curtis DuBois Fuller (December 15, 1932 – May 8, 2021) [1] was an American jazz trombonist. He was a member of Art Blakey 's Jazz Messengers and contributed to many classic jazz recordings. [2]
Fuller made his recording debut as a leader on Transition in 1955, and recorded in the late ’50s for Blue Note, Prestige, United Artists, and Savoy. He was a charter member of The Jazztet with Benny Golson and Art Farmer in 1959, then played in Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers from 1961 to 1965.

Curtis Fuller starb am 8. Mai 2021 im Alter von 88 Jahren. Sein Schaffen wurde auf über einem Dutzend Compilations dargestellt. "The Complete Blue Note/UA Recordings Of Curtis Fuller" (Mosaic, 1996) bestand aus fünf LPs oder drei CDs. Drei CD stark war auch "The Complete Savoy Sessions" (Lone Hill, 2008).
