Keble College has come a long way since its opening in 1870. The first Oxford College of the modern era, it was founded in memory of John Keble (1792-1866), well known for his best-selling Christian verse and a key member of the so-called ‘Oxford’ movement.

Keble College was originally established to extend access to Oxford University, and it remains true to that founding vision. We have students from all backgrounds and every corner of the globe.
We’re a fairly big and diverse college – there are over 400 undergraduates and almost the same number of graduates from all kinds of backgrounds. That means that whatever you’re into you’ll probably find like-minded people to share your passions.
About the college. Keble’s home for graduate students, the H B Allen Centre, opened in 2018. Located just north of the college's main site on Parks Road, the centre combines graduate accommodation and facilities with space dedicated to research, innovation and start-ups.
