Bette of Roses is the eighth studio album by the American singer Bette Midler. It was released by Atlantic Records on July 18, 1995, in the United States. The title was a play on the title of one of the tracks, "Bed of Roses".

On November 8, 2020, Lyle was inducted into the Black Music Awards Hall of Fame in Houston, Texas. In 1997, Lyle was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction as Bette Midler’s Music Director, and, in 2021 for his latest single "Living in the Flow".

11. Apr. 2021 · Platinum-selling artist Bobby Lyle was inducted in the Black Music Awards (BMA’s) Hall of Fame in Houston, TX., on November 8, 2020, he was nominated for an Emmy as Bette Midler’s Music Director, and his latest single “Living in the Flow” is charting on Billboard.
He has served as musical director for such notable artists as Al Jarreau, Anita Baker, Bette Midler (with whom he scored an Emmy nomination for her HBO special Diva Las Vegas), and Phyliss Hyman.
