American pop rock band that formed in 1965 in Chicago, Illinois. The band, which began as a garage R&B combo but later was augmented with a strong horn sound, scored its greatest chart success with the #1 hit "Kind Of A Drag," which began to break out nationally in the last weeks of 1966.
