Mobile Fidelity first announced Dad Loves His Work last November, so it's a welcome surprise that Flag has joined it for release. In addition, both titles will be available on 180-gram vinyl.
Dad Loves His Work is the tenth studio album by James Taylor. It was released in March 1981 and includes the duet with J. D. Souther “Her Town Too”, which reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Top 5 of Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. The album was certified Platinum in the United States. Wer genau hinhört, kann im letzten Stück tatsächlich Jennifer Warnes heraushören. Diese Album ist zuvor als MFSL Gold-CD erschienen, doch die 180g Vinyl-LP ist klanglich deutlich filigraner und luftiger, als es damals für eine CD möglich war.
