Charles Arnold Burgi III (/ ˈ b ɜːr ɡ i /, born August 15, 1952, Montclair, New Jersey) is an American drummer. He has performed with many rock bands and musicians, ranging from local New Jersey/New York-area artists to international groups, throughout his prolific career. He is the current drummer for The Billy Joel Band.
CHUCK BURGI performs live (currently with BILLY JOEL, Shotgun Wedding and Mike Delguidice and Big Shot), does recording sessions, and teaches privately. He also creates motivational presentations and workshops for various age groups, which have at their core his passion for drums and drumming.
