Prokopios von Caesarea war ein spätantiker griechischer bzw. frühbyzantinischer Historiker des 6. Jahrhunderts n. Chr. Er gilt als der letzte große Geschichtsschreiber der Antike und als bedeutendste Quelle zur Zeit Kaiser Justinians.
Prokopia (Greek: Προκοπία; c. 770 – after 813) was the empress consort of Michael I Rhangabe of the Eastern Roman Empire. She was a daughter of Nikephoros I. The name of her mother is not known. Her only known sibling is Staurakios.
Prokopia begleitete ihn bis nach Heraklea am Marmarameer, wo sie ihm vom Aquädukt aus zum Abschied zuwinkte. Doch zu diesem Zeitpunkt war Michael Rangabe bereits nicht mehr Kaiser. Noch einmal einer Schlacht unverletzt entronnen, war er so schnell wie möglich in die Hauptstadt zurückgeeilt und hatte den Patriarchen sogleich in Kenntnis gesetzt, dass er abdanken werde.
