Blasters of the Universe is a 1993 2-CD set by Bootsy's New Rubber Band. The album was first released on the P-Vine record label and then by Rykodisc in the US and the UK. In terms of musical personnel, the album features more P-Funk and Funk alumni than any other Bootsy Collins related release.

Edward Earl Hazel (April 10, 1950 – December 23, 1992) was an American guitarist and singer in early funk music who played lead guitar with Parliament-Funkadelic. [1] [2] Hazel was a posthumous inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inducted in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. [3] .

5. Jan. 2021 · Feature-length space funk from 1994 that on most tracks inexplicably sounds like it was recorded no later than 1981 or so, except for some weird TV and movie samples. The instrumental second disc is probably of more value to samplers than listeners, but the tribute to Eddie Hazel is A-grade.
