Booker Ervin (Booker Telleferro Ervin II; * 31. Oktober 1930 in Denison, Texas; † 31. August 1970 in New York City) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Tenorsaxophonist, Komponist und Bandleader.
Seinen „Blues Cry“, seinen „Southwest Moan“ verlor Booker Ervin nie. Aber etwas Neues kam hinzu: der Hardbop, die Moderne, die Avantgarde. „Ich mag Dexter Gordon, er hat meinen Lieblingssound: diesen richtig harten, lauten Tenorsound“, erzählte Ervin 1967. Zwei Jahre zuvor hatte er mit Dexter sogar eine Platte aufgenommen: „Setting The Pace“.
