Turning Point is a 2009 Hong Kong action crime thriller film directed by Herman Yau and starring Michael Tse in the title role of "Laughing Gor" and co-starring veteran actors Francis Ng and Anthony Wong. Released in Hong Kong on 13 August 2009, this is the first film to be produced by Shaw Brothers since 2003's Drunken Monkey.

Turning Point. Story: Laughing Gor (Michael Tse) is an undercover cop who works for the triads under Boss One (Anthony Wong). One day he gives Inspector Xian (Yuen Biao) a tip, the only man who knows about his true identity, but Xian becomes victim of a car accident during the police operation and falls into a coma.

The prequel to the TVB drama is entertaining and well-directed by Herman Yau, but it tries so hard to turn the popular Laughing Gor into a legendary character that its sprawling narrative ends up losing focus on its main character.
