The Calgary Dinos are the athletic teams that represent the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. They were known as the "Dinosaurs" but usually referred to as the "Dinos" until 1999, when the name was officially shortened.
The Calgary Dinos football team represents the University of Calgary in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports. The Dinos program has been in operation since 1964, winning the Vanier Cup national championship five times (1983, 1985, 1988, 1995, 2019), the most out of any of the Canada West teams.

Third-year defenceman Dakota Krebs admits the Dino’s men’s hockey team dominant 2022- 2023 season was unexpected to a lot of the guys on the team. However, with a Canada West championship in their trophy case, the expectations for the team have shifted and their goal is still in the crosshairs.
22. Feb. 2023 · The No. 1 ranked Dinos have broken a Canada West record and are focused on the playoffs after capping their season with a 4-2 win over Mount Royal. They face Saskatchewan in the semifinals, hoping to win their first national title.
22. Feb. 2024 · CALGARY – A two-goal second period proved to be the difference for the University of Calgary Dinos men's hockey team as they defeated the Mount Royal Cougars 4-2 in Game 1 of their Canada West semifinal series at Father David Bauer Arena.
