29. Juni 2021 · Vor gut 50 Jahren hat der amerikanische Filmemacher Steve Gebhardt einige Probenphasen zu „Escalator Over The Hill“ mit der Kamera begleitet. Der daraus entstandene, 84-minütige Dokumentarfilm gleichen Namens wird am 3. Juli ab 15 Uhr auf dem Schiff in Monheim gezeigt.
Preston übernahm in der Band der amerikanischen Sängerin Meredith Monk die Rolle des musikalischen Leiters und spielte bei Escalator over the Hill erneut mit Carla Bley zusammen.
