Peter David Shore, Baron Shore of Stepney, PC (20 May 1924 – 24 September 2001) was a British Labour Party politician and Cabinet minister, noted in part for his opposition to the United Kingdom's entry into the European Economic Community.
Peter Williston Shor (born August 14, 1959) is an American professor of applied mathematics at MIT. He is known for his work on quantum computation, in particular for devising Shor's algorithm, a quantum algorithm for factoring exponentially faster than the best currently-known algorithm running on a classical computer.

Geschichte. Die Band wurde im Jahr 1988 [1] von Sänger und Gitarrist Chris Spencer, Bassist Peter Shore und Schlagzeuger Charles Ondras am Sarah Lawrence College in New York gegründet. Es folgten die ersten kleineren, lokalen Auftritte, bis Treehouse Records auf die Band aufmerksam wurde, und die Debütsingle This Town / Urge to Kill.
The original incarnation of the band — Chris Spencer, Pete Shore (bass), and Charles Ondras (drums) — crawled larvally out of the practice space in 1989 and began playing New York’s seediest haunts.
