The band added guitarist Jeff Vitolo and bassist Allen Brooks replaced Sage. Soon after Roxx Gang created a blues/rock alter-ego The Mojo Gurus. Vinnie Granese replaced Brooks in 1998 and Blades left citing "musical differences" after which evolution into The Mojo Gurus became permanent.
But Roxx Gang isn’t all Steele has signed his name to, as his other band, The Mojo Gurus, smoke hard and heavy, too. Just listen to records like Shakin’ in the Barn (2005), Hot Damn! (2009), Who Asked Ya? (2014), and Gone (2017), and you’ll catch the vibe.

Steele gründete später eine neue Version der Band, die mit deutlich geringerem Erfolg weitere Glam-Metal-Alben veröffentlichte. Gegen Ende der Neunziger begann die Band unter dem Namen „Mojo Gurus“ Bluesrock zu spielen, zunächst zusätzlich zu ihren Auftritten als „Roxx Gang“, später ausschließlich.
