Roger Meddows Taylor OBE (* 26. Juli 1949 in King’s Lynn, England) ist ein britischer Schlagzeuger und Sänger. Er ist Gründungsmitglied und, wie auch die anderen drei Bandmitglieder, Komponist und Songwriter der Rockgruppe Queen sowie deren Schlagzeuger.
70s – Roger Taylor beyond Queen – solo and with The Cross. Larry Lurex. The name was a pun on Gary Glitter. It is understood to be a try of how the new Trident studio works. And because of that musicians didn’t use the name Queen, just Larry Lurex instead.
Highlight of the album is Irene Wilde (which Ian maintains is a true story), and You Nearly Did Me In (which features Queen's Freddie Mercury, Brian May and Roger Taylor on backing vocals). The 2006 reissue sees excellent sound quality, and a host of bonus tracks none of which have been released before.
