Jean de Florette (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃ də flɔʁɛt]) is a 1986 period drama film directed by Claude Berri. It was followed by Manon des sources, released the same year. Both are the adaptation of Marcel Pagnol’s 1963 two-part novel The Water of the Hills.

In den Hauptrollen spielten Gérard Depardieu als Jean Florette, Yves Montand als César Soubeyran (le Papet) und Daniel Auteuil als Ugolin. Depardieus Frau Elisabeth spielte Aimée. Emmanuelle Béart erhielt für die Rolle als Manon einen César .
