"Didi" (Arabic: دي دي, dī dī, pronounced [diː diː]) is an Arabic raï song written and performed by Algerian singer and musician Khaled, released in 1992. The song was the lead single from the singer's eponymous album Khaled.
In 1992, having dropped the "Cheb" from his performance name, he recorded Khaled, which was produced by Don Was. The album's first single Didi , which was a major hit in Europe, the Arab World, and in South and East Asia, made him an international superstar.
Don Edward Fagenson (born September 13, 1952), known professionally as Don Was (/ w ʌ z /), is an American musician, record producer, music director, film composer, documentary filmmaker and radio host. Since 2011, he has also served as president of the American jazz label Blue Note Records.
