Rufio was formed when bassist Jon Berry was a freshman in college and the other three members, Scott Sellers, Mike Jimenez, and Clark Domae were in high school. Sellers and Domae had been acquainted for some time and found a shared talent in the guitar.
Clark Domae’s guitar work in addition to Scott’s riffs are impressive, as always. And newcomer Terry Stirling Jr. dominates the drums in a way that makes me forget Mike Jimenez left the band. Now, this leads me to the new bassist, Taylor Albaugh. He’s good, but he’s no Jon Berry, who had a different, more complex style.

Founding member and guitarist Clark Domae has announced his departure here. This leaves Scott Sellers as the sole remaining original Rufio member. It’s a good thing, too, because if he left, Rufio’s signature vocal sound would leave, too. And the world is just not ready for that.
