Clive James Gregson (born 4 January 1955, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, England) is an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. He has toured in bands, provided backup for well-known musicians, and written songs that have been covered by Kim Carnes , Norma Waterson and Nanci Griffith .
Invited by Tori Amos to play support promoting these songs, Hewerdine managed to find a new audience and Ignorance and a single from the album, "History", did relatively well commercially. As Hewerdine's star rose, he started to write for other artists, among them Eddi Reader , Clive Gregson and Christine Collister .
Clive Gregson has never really attracted the attention that has been lavished on many of his peers, though with a career that spans three decades he has contributed a remarkable body of work to the world of music.
People & Places is an album by the English musician Clive Gregson, released in 1995. It was Gregson's first solo studio album in 10 years.
Born and raised in Manchester, England, Clive is an accomplished singer, musician and record producer. He led cult band Any Trouble. The group toured extensively in support of five critically acclaimed albums and a number of singles that became radio hits before disbanding at the end of 1984.
