Silje Wergeland (born 9 November 1974) is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and pianist. She is best known as the current lead vocalist of the Dutch progressive/alternative rock band The Gathering (since 2009). [1] She was also the frontwoman of Norwegian doom/gothic metal band Octavia Sperati .

Wergeland is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and pianist, best known as vocalist of The Gathering since 2009. She was born in Bergen, Norway, where she still lives. She is engaged to drummer Mads Lilletvedt with whom has two daughters, Marie (born 2012) and Louise (born 2016).
Entstehung und Veröffentlichung. In den zwei Jahren nach The West Pole, dem ersten Album mit der neuen Sängerin Silje Wergeland, tourten The Gathering in Europa und Südamerika. Im Mai 2011 veröffentlichte die Band ein neues Stück auf ihrer Bandcamp -Seite, spielte es im Sommer live und drehte auch ein Musikvideo dazu.
