Sam "Sluggo" Phipps (born on October 1st, 1953) is an American saxophone player, best known for being a member of the new wave band Oingo Boingo.
Sam Phipps is a multi-instrumentalist who played with various jazz and rock bands, including Annette Peacock and Oingo Boingo. He also composed music for films and TV shows, and released his own album "Animal Sounds" in 1981.
